Anxiety

“One of the biggest triggers for anxiety is the way in which we think and speak to ourselves.”

Signs and Symptoms of Anxiety

  • Racing thoughts or difficulty turning your mind “off”

  • Constant worry about the future or what others think

  • Overanalyzing past interactions or mistakes

  • Difficulty concentrating or feeling “foggy”

  • Catastrophic thinking (“what if something goes wrong?”)

  • Feeling easily overwhelmed by decisions or uncertainty

  • Restlessness or feeling keyed up/on edge

  • Muscle tension, headaches, or jaw clenching

  • Racing heart, shortness of breath, or dizziness

  • Stomach issues (nausea, butterflies, or indigestion)

  • Sweating, trembling, or feeling shaky

  • Trouble falling or staying asleep

  • Feeling detached or “on autopilot”

  • Fear of losing control or “going crazy”

  • Avoiding situations that trigger anxiety (social events, work tasks, conflict, etc.)

  • Seeking excessive reassurance from others

  • Procrastinating or over-preparing to feel safe

  • Engaging in safety behaviors (checking, re-reading, researching excessively)

  • Difficulty saying no or setting boundaries due to fear of rejection

“Feeling anxious doesn’t mean something is wrong with you — it’s actually a signal that your mind is alert and trying to protect you. With awareness and the right tools, anxiety can become a guide instead of a burden.”
