About Amy Markuson
ONLINE THERAPY ACROSS THE STATE OF FLORIDA
Welcome!
I’m Amy
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I help adolescents and adults navigate the challenges of overthinking and find their way from overwhelm to calm.
Having faced my own struggles, I understand how hard it can be to feel stuck while searching for the right support. That’s why I’m passionate about creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, make sense of your experiences, and discover tools that truly work for you.
Healing doesn’t have to be rushed; we’ll take it at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable. Together, we’ll focus on helping you reconnect with the present moment and build a sense of peace within yourself.
MY PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
I received my Bachelor’s in Social Work from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2004 and my Master’s in Social Work from Capella University in 2019. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, including outpatient therapy, inpatient psychiatric care, and community mental health. These experiences have allowed me to support individuals with diverse backgrounds and needs, and have strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, client-centered care.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), and credentialed as an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP). In addition, I am trained in the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS), which equips me to offer evidence-based, collaborative, and supportive care for individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts or behaviors.
